The concept for Ancora Stone and Tile grew out of the owners desires to fill a need Today, Ancora Design Build stands as one of Southeastern Wisconsin premier installers of tile and natural stone, representing the industry’s finest manufacturers and suppliers. Our unwavering commitment to exceptional design, impeccable style, and meticulous attention to detail ensures that every client feels proud to be part of the Ancora family.

CHRIS BOYCE
President, Ancora Design| Build & David Brynne Design Group
Chris is a seasoned professional with over two decades of experience in the construction, landscape, and design industry. He began his career working at Boyce Landscaping alongside his father, gaining hands-on expertise in the skilled trades. From a young age, Chris honed his ability to run efficient and productive jobsites. He quickly expanded his expertise to include artisan tile setting and then mastering the complexities of full-scale renovations and new construction projects.
In 2009, Chris founded Ancora Stone and Tile, a company built on his unwavering dedication to quality craftsmanship and exceeding client expectations. Recognizing the importance of streamlined design solutions, Chris launched David Brynne Design Group in 2020. This venture brought in-house design services to Ancora’s offerings, allowing clients to benefit from a fully integrated approach to their projects. Known for his problem-solving skills and attention to detail, Chris delivers innovative, inspiration-driven results that stand the test of time.
When not managing his growing businesses, Chris is a dedicated husband and father of three, which keep him very active. Aside from running around with the kids and traveling with his wife - he enjoys playing hockey, wakeboarding on summer days, snowmobiling in the winter, and spending quality time with his family.
JOE BOYCE
V.P of Sales & Operations, Ancora Design | Build & David Brynne Design Group
Joe Boyce brings a wealth of experience, and a versatile skill set to his role as Vice President of Sales and Operations. With a background rooted in family businesses within the landscaping and food industries, Joe developed a strong foundation in customer service and operational management. His career in sales and distribution for a national coffee supplier further honed his expertise in building relationships and driving growth.
Since joining Ancora in 2018, Joe has become an indispensable part of the team, leveraging his multifaceted experience to operations. Known for his ability to build meaningful connections, Joe excels at fostering strong relationships with both clients and subcontractors, ensuring that every project is as much about the people as it is about the spaces created.
Outside of work, Joe is a culinary enthusiast who finds joy in crafting meals for his family. He also enjoys fishing with his two children, spending time with his wife, and tackling home improvement projects. His hands-on approach and dedication make him a key asset to the Ancora and David Brynne team.
KRISTA BOYCE
V.P of Marketing & Communications, Ancora Design | Build & David Brynne Design Group
Krista Boyce is an experienced leader with over 20 years of experience in project management, strategic marketing, and fostering impactful partnerships. Known for her results-driven approach, Krista excels in driving growth and innovation through creative and collaborative strategies.
Prior to she served as VP of Strategic Partnerships at TEMPO and spent 15 years at the Milwaukee Art Museum. Krista made significant contributions as a key leader at the Museum, where she managed all aspects to over 80 events annually, including the highly acclaimed Lakefront Festival of Art, Art in Bloom, MAM After Dark, Yoga @ the Museum, and the Museum’s prestigious black-tie gala, among many others. She was instrumental in marketing/design, production details, and spearheading innovative engagement initiatives.
With a Bachelor of Arts in Literary & Critical Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a background as a ballet dancer, Krista brings a unique perspective to her work. Her career reflects a passion for artistry, strategic thinking, and meaningful community impact.
Outside of work, Krista enjoys quality time and exciting adventures with her husband and their three children. A self-proclaimed foodie with a love of travel, she thrives on exploring new cuisines and destinations all over the world. Day to day, her time outside of work is spent with their children and all the mom duties. She also enjoys Pilates, horseback riding, and snowmobiling with her husband. Known for her energy and positivity, Krista is a collaborative force behind every team she is part of.
TONYA STANLY

Tonya Stanly, Lead Interior Designer, Ancora and David Brynne Design Group
Tonya Stanly is a highly skilled interior designer who blends professionalism with an approachable and engaging style. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Architecture, Tonya holds an NCIDQ certification and brings over seven years of commercial design experience to her role.
Her impressive career includes roles at Direct Supply and Apture, as well as positions with Theiss Interior Design in Milwaukee, Echo Architecture in London, and SFA Design in Santa Barbara. This diverse experience has honed her ability to create thoughtful, functional spaces that resonate in people's homes and across industries.
Since joining Ancora in 2020, Tonya has been celebrated for her meticulous attention to detail and ability to deliver designs that balance functionality and aesthetic appeal. Her expertise, coupled with a collaborative and personable approach, ensures that every project exceeds client expectations.
A Milwaukee native, Tonya embraces an active lifestyle through running and fitness classes. She enjoys experimenting in the kitchen, crafting healthy recipes, and baking. Outside of work, Tonya treasures quality time with her husband, two young sons, and their dog, Ziggy, making her a well-rounded and relatable leader within the Ancora team.
LAUREN CHROMY
Junior Designer, Ancora Design | Build
Lauren Chromy is a talented junior designer who brings a foundation in 3D drawing and rendering to the Ancora Design | Build team. A recent graduate of the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Interior Design, Lauren combines technical expertise with creative vision. Her skills in creating 3D models and renderings are a cornerstone of Ancora’s client presentations, enhancing project visualization and client engagement.
Before joining Ancora, Lauren gained hands-on experience at Miller Marriott Construction Co., where she created detailed construction documents, developed 3D walkthroughs, and contributed to cabinet design and client meetings. She has also served as an interior design intern at JLG Architects and has a background in retail merchandising with Patina Stores. A dedicated professional, Lauren is a member of IIDA, NEWH, and was an active participant and mentor in the IDSA.
Outside of work, Lauren enjoys road trips across the country with her boyfriend, creating floral bouquets, and thrifting unique decor pieces that inspire her creative projects. Based in Milwaukee, she’s passionate about contributing to designs that blend creativity, functionality, and personal charm. Her meticulous attention to detail and ability to deliver client-focused solutions make her an integral part of the Ancora team.
